Speechless π
Those of you who may have never met me along with those who know me best can attest by now I am rarely speechless. But today, I am kind of speechless.
Today was the first full day of Kindergarten for Kindergarteners at Olive Chapel Elementary (last week was staggard entry where the little ones came one day assigned to them for a partial day). Since Charlotte couldn’t be at her first official day of school today, the school showed their love by asking everyone to come wearing rainbows. They had teachers and staff and students where rainbow colored shirts, tattoos, stickers, and rainbow ribbons. The world was shining rainbows across my phone today as we received pictures and messages from twitter and various friends at school. She beamed. I’m not sure what she initially thought, but then when she saw her fellow team mates on our swim team adorn rainbow tattoos and the words #CRSTRONG across their backs at the final meet today, she smiled and giggled “Charlotte Strong!” That’s right baby. You are so strong. We are so overwhelmed by the kindness and love and I’m sorry I just don’t seem to have the words.
While we are over here feeling like we are barely treading water, you all throw us a float. A breath. A rope for us to grab onto and hold tightly to. The comfort of our village lifting her up at this time is another reminder of Gods grace and love working through us all. It reminds us of His promise. Of hope.
So while the school and the swim team cheered our girl on today, Charlotte rallied. She has begun radiation treatments. More on that tomorrow but she is doing and feeling great. We just need her immune system to kick back in and help us get her home. Thank you for lifting her up today...she is fighting so hard to be back home and to reclaim what this disease is trying to take.
Taylor helping one of Charlotte’s best friends on the bus for her first day. I think having Isla to care for this morning on the bus helped soothe Taylor’s big sister soul. Taylor has been taking Charlotte’s absence and hair loss and over all re-diagnosis pretty hard.

Goofing off after her procedure to reacess her port which is required every 7 days if accessed. This requires a long needle poke and yet she holds her breath and lays still and faces what is asked of her every single time. And then...she goofs off with the gearπ€£
