A new and better plan

There's an adorable kids TV show called Special Agent Oso (one of my favs) in which this lovable Panda is a special agent who helps solve problems with a child by taking a big task and breaking it down into simple steps to complete. It never goes according to plan and he always says "It's all part of the plan....more or less." I love that. Isn't it true for us all?! Taking out Charlotte's central line because of a potential line infection was definatly not part of our plan. We hoped when it was removed, it would have been a celebration because she was finished with treatment! But the team decided not to take any chances with this stubborn strain of bacteria that could (or could not) be present in her line. So this morning, she was taken to the OR for a quick procedure in which her line was removed.

She is currently back in her room recovering from anesthesia with Cheerios and Popsicles:) A temporary IV is in place so she can finish the last doses of her 10 day antibiotic today and then we should be good to go home later this afternoon! The silver lining....this champion gets to be line and "tubie" free for a week! Be a normal kid and take a bath...maybe some water play like sprinklers or something fun! We can call it a "pretransplant vacation"! Doctors advised us to go have as much fun as possible and enjoy life medicine and Doctor free. Gearing up for this next phase entering consolidation where she will have a central line put back in, scans again, then admitted to Bone Marrow Transplant Unit for more high dose chemo and her stem cell rescue. Dates for that long stay are 9/15 thru 10/9ish.... But for now we celebrate what wasn't part of the plan but God's plan was better then ours. And our baby girl will keep going keep moving and shaking her way on to beating this cancer.

Family night: dinner and a movie can happen anywhere. The three amigos

Taking her baby and ALL her mommy bags for a walk

Above and below: These pictures are all of the same rainbow from different views! We received messages from so many friends all within a 30 minute span of time as they all looked at this beautiful sign from above. These are just SOME of the rainbow pictures our amazing village messaged us. This rainbow appeared in our town, neighborhood, and over our home. Just beautiful
