I'm sorry--I just had to🤗

I wasn't going to write again until we were home but when there is joy to be shared in times like this, and you are someone like me who loves to write and share with those important to us, then I SAY WRITE AWAY! Although Charlotte couldn't keep her breakfast down while daddy was here with her this morning, after a nap and some nausea medication she put down TWO bowls of mac and cheese plus a small bowl of fruit. She has so much playful energy that we had a
45 minute dance party in her room, a long walk, and playroom time where she got to meet some super heroes (avengers) who came to visit this evening. This kid! Apparently the chemotherapy cocktail she has just finished today can make kids really sick towards the end and we keep waiting for the ball to drop but then I was thinking...maybe it won't?!? Why can't she defy those odds and be the exception? Perhaps she has an invisible super hero shield of her own around her this time and she will skate through. Perhaps she won't and that's ok too because this week she smiled and played and laughed with us and her nurses while being in the hospital and undergoing chemo. And tonight I got to sing and dance and be silly with my baby girl  after she finished her last bag of chemotherapy for this round. And Brian also got to play and snuggle with his little cuddle bug. If that's not winning something, then I don't know what is. So although we are not out of any woods whatsoever and won't be for some time....we HAVE to relish and celebrate and drink in these little victories and who else would Brian and I rather share this joy with then all of you. Our village. Round 3 is going better then we could have hoped for and going home for this weekend to be together as a family will be the best Mother's Day gift I could ever ask for.
