Home to gear up for round 5!
We are home! We plan to have a recharging, restorative, rejuvenating, and playfully fun week at home in order to gear her little body up for round 5 of chemo which could begin this coming Friday if all of her blood work checks out that day. Focus is on nutrition and family time. And I just realized that with Taylor's last day of school yesterday...we will have ALL 3 home all week together!
There is a chance that we may be able to steal Charlotte away to our family beach trip for a couple days over this next round depending on timing and her blood counts! The beach house our family has rented is just a little over 2hrs away in Topsail NC and our team of doctors feel that the timing of this annual beach trip might coincide with where she is in her treatment. Bringing her to the beach to spend a couple days with family, fresh ocean breezes, and toes in the sand sounds like earths best medicine. And although her participation in some of the ususal beach activities would be limited because of safety concerns with her central line and the shorter length of time she can be away from the hospital....we will make the most of this little get away should it work out for us to bring her. As always, thanks for your love and prayers. The conscious stream of positivity we are receiving is infectious!
