Mini vacation before round 4

Next week, Charlotte begins round 4 Immunotherapy. Next week, she will have her fanny pack with a pump for her predose infusion of IL-2 and we will stay nearby Duke at The Ronald MacDonald House. Then, she'll be admitted for a week to be given the combination IL-2 with Unituxin. Next week, we get to worry about severe side effects like capillary leak syndrome, high fevers and pain requiring morphine. Next week our warrior is at it again. But not this week. This week, we celebrate her brother and sister finishing the school year. This week, the only medication she needs to take is her twice a day oral chemo, Accutane. This week, we get to escape as a family to the beach for a long weekend of playing and laughing and living! And on our drive here, we saw a rainbow minutes away from the beach. Thank you God for this day.

Great check up! She's doing wonderfully!

Last day of school 2016-2017

First day-Lastday!

Charlotte, rising preschooler What a year! When we took that pic we were still so far away from end of protocol. Still so so scared.  Scared of what was to come. Scared she wouldn't make it.
Scared cancer would progress regardless. Scared of the toll it would take on our family and marriage.  Now she's almost done and hopefully still clear and has a true chance. You are all a part of the victory within this picture today.

Taylor, Rising third grader!

Parker, Rising first grader!
