Potential complication

Last night, Charlotte took a bubble bath and this message (pictured below) dissolved from her bath bomb....couldn’t be more perfect. We could use some prayers village. Our doctors at MSK in NYC have started limiting patient appointments in clinic for now due to the Coronavirus. Patients undergoing active treatment can still be seen, but many nonessential appointments are being canceled with TBD for rescheduling. They have a lot of international families as they are one of the worlds experts in Neuroblastoma and it is clear they want to limit exposure at this time to the immunocompromised kids in treatment. My initial reaction was heartbreak for families that are doing everything they possibly can to get their child to the place where they can receive the best of the best treatment. However, this news could pose an issue for our Charlotte who is scheduled to be seen in clinic up at MSK on March 24 to begin their Neuroblastoma Vaccine clinical trial.

So far we are still on the schedule, but Brian and I are worried. She has a window she will need to begin this therapy. We don’t know if her access to this therapy will be impacted. Thank you for keeping our baby girl in your prayers as we FIRST wait for news of clear scan results from her full work ups scheduled here for March 17-18, and then as we march on in the hopes that she can participate in this hopeful maintenance therapy❤️🌈For now, she’ll keep being strong while inspiring us all #charlottestrong

Charlotte being Charlotte strong on her Kindergarten field trip to Marbles kids museum! I helped Chaperone and my heart sang as I watched her keep up with all her Kindergarten friends. She’s feeling and doing so great. Our 3 amigos are now on spring track out break for 3 weeks! Bring on SPRING💕🌈
